This is original hp battery only, but check the ratings of seller before you buy. some might sell fake ones. Good and perfectly compatible.

Battery discharge too fast… Laptop indicator show 2hr and battery discharge in 15 mins.. Suddenly laptop shutdown indicating low battery
The battery is for HP NOTEBOOK genuine battery and the backup is great. Backup depends on your usage, but it is a tad bit better than the original battery that came with my laptop.
I am happy at the price.Regarding battery life I need to wait and see but came with 1 year HP warranty from invoice date. Good one.
